Hi, I'm Kelly!

I am a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, with a background in psychology & social work. I have continued education in pranayama (breath work) & somatic movements. 


I help people who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, & trauma recovery find healing & connection through customized, private yoga sessions.

About Sprouting Anew Yoga

My Teaching Approach

My approach is gentle, exploratory, and nervous-system centered. It is my aim to guide you towards feeling more connected, empowered, and at peace as you navigate the ups and downs of daily life. 

Why Private Yoga?

Group yoga classes are incredible, but they may not always be for everyone. 


Whether you are an introverted homebody like me who would rather practice in my pajamas with a cup of my favorite hot beverage, a parent with a busy schedule who simply does not have time to go to a studio, or someone with specific physical injuries or emotional considerations that need personalized attention, you’ve come to the right place. 


As a private yoga instructor, I will take the time to learn exactly what you are looking for and meet you exactly where you are at to explore what does and does not work for you. 

Private sessions are customized based on your unique interests, needs, and circumstances and typically include a mix of:

Asana: Movement practice, like the yoga poses & stretches, which will typically be the bulk of our sessions.

Pranayama: Breathing techniques and exercises to promote nervous system regulation.

Guided Meditation: The practice of focusing attention on a sense object to promote a sense of calm and focus. 

Your yoga practice can feel, safe, fun & nurturing!

With the support of a private session, you will:

  • Establish a connection with your body and learn to listen to your body’s intuitive wisdom, telling you exactly what it needs to feel safe & heal. 
  • Increase strength, flexibility & mobility, while decreasing or better managing your specific pain points. 
  • Learn to move through your emotions in a healthy way and  release unprocessed emotional energy that may be stuck in the body. 
  • Feel seen, heard and supported by a yoga teacher who is able to provide you with undivided attention during your sessions. 

what is the process for beginning private yoga sessions?

  1. Email us at inquiries@sproutinganew.com or book a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your interest in private sessions and desired schedule. 
  2. Complete the intake form that will be emailed to you to help me get to know you a little bit more and better prepare for our sessions. 
  3. Schedule our introductory session together - note that in our first session we will spend some time discussing your intake form and personal goals as we begin to dive into exploring your personal yoga practice.

We can discuss your schedule, budget, and personal goals during our consultation call. Most students opt for a weekly standing appointment. 


This depends on primarily 2 things:


  1. Your preference: You can benefit equally from in-person or virtual sessions, as long as it aligns with your preference (and general comfort with technology)*. 
  2. Your location: I only offer in-person private sessions within 25 minutes of my location**. 


* If opting for virtual, we will take some time to ensure proper camera setup so I can see you well, in order to provide you with appropriate alignment cues and support.


** Some locations further than this will be considered based on distance & schedule, but there will be a $15 travel fee added to the cost of each session. 


This is totally up to you! I am happy to help you create a custom routine that you can practice on your own as frequently as you like. This routine can be a short and sweet 5-10 minute practice, or longer. It’s also totally fine if you don’t wish to practice at all outside of private yoga - you will still receive a lot of benefits from the weekly session!


  1. A yoga mat
  2. Optional: I highly recommend 2 yoga blocks. If opting for an in person session, I can provide these upon request. 
  3. Optional: A yoga strap and bolster are also recommended, but not necessities, as they can more easily be substituted with household items (such as pillows, couch cushions, or a towel). 


Private sessions are typically 60 minutes, however, we can discuss a 45 or 30-minute session if this better suits your needs. 


  • 60 minute sessions = $60
  • 45 minute sessions = $50
  • 30 minute sessions = $40


Just enough space to lay out your yoga mat and any props you like to use. If opting for a virtual session you will want to be able to set up your device a few feet away from your mat. 


Of course! The benefit of bringing yoga to you, is that I am meeting you exactly where you are at - and the reality is that most of us may not have a perfectly quiet and tranquil space for our practice. Trust me, I am used to this from my own personal practice! 


  • I am not a physical therapist or doctor. I do not diagnose or treat specific injuries or conditions. I cannot accept insurance and I am not a substitute for the advice of a medical practitioner. If I feel your injuries or circumstances are outside of my scope, I will advise you to seek advice from your primary care provider.
  • I DO offer a supportive and inclusive yoga practice, specific to your interests and needs in the comfort of your home. Regular yoga practice can promote increased strength, flexibility, mobility, & emotional regulation. Yoga does not just include physical movement practice, but also breath work, philosophy and meditation which can have profound benefits to your wellbeing. 


We can discuss your personal goals and circumstances  on your consultation call. Depending on your needs, you may benefit most from a 1-1 session, however, a private session can include up to 2 people total. 


Small group sessions (3-6 people) & medium-large group sessions (7+ people) are also available for a separate group rate. Please email inquiries@sproutinganew.com for more information on group sessions.
